Goals

When designing a web application, it is important to consider user goals. With a collaborative applications, there are two levels of goals that need to be taken into account:

Team Goals

These are goals that may be attributed to the team as a unit. These goals are known to be shared or presumed to be shared by all team members and serve as drivers of the teams activities. The shared goals of the FVHS Mock Trial Team are discussed in Team Goals.

Individual Goals

These are goals held by individual team members, but not know or presumed to be shared by all members of a team. As discussed in Individual Goals, the potential for conflict due to individual goals and the desire to minimize such conflict was a key driver in the FVHS Mock Trial Team’s use of the collaborative tools provided by Google Apps.
